Current Style: Standard
The School of Law is one of the emerging departments of the Pondicherry University which came into existence in the year 2014-2015. The School focuses on quality teaching and research in law through the On-Campus One Year Master of Law (LL.M) programme. Besides the traditional classroom lectures, the school also uses diverse modes of teaching, like tutorials, group discussions, seminars, case study methods. The course also includes a scrupulous internship programme, in order to equip the students with the practical experiences in the relevant field. Currently, there are three branches of specializations offered on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).

Syllabus PG Diploma in Criminology & Forensic Science
P.G.Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science:Admission to the course will be based on National level entrance test. The main objective of this course is to impact knowledge about concept of crime and its impact on the society, the behavioral aspects of crime, law relating to crime and the scientific collection and analysis of evidence at the scene of crime to establish a theory of crime.

P.G. Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights-
This Programme is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in IPR, which opens opportunities in the fields of IP Analysts, IP Attorneys, IP Consultants, IP Managers and the like.
The School of Law is housed in the spacious Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), DDE building of Pondicherry University on the second floor. The School has also a good number of computers with Wi-Fi facilities to facilitate the teaching learning activities..
